Report from Johanne Solheim, NVF's representative in PIARC's Central Office in 2010
Johanne Solheim completed her secondment in Paris at the end of 2012, and has now returned to Oslo, Norway. She has written her final rapport, where she summarises the year at PIARC. The rapport is here.
New representative in PIARC's Centrac Office
Since the begining of the year 2011 Carolina Theolin Palmell has tekan over the post of NVF's representative in PIARC's central office from Johanne Solheim. Carolina comes from the Swedish Transport Administration. See also here.
New MoU between PIARC and NVF
A new Memorandum of agreement between the World Road Association and the Nordic Road Association was signed on the 21. of October 2010. The meomrandum of agreement can be found here.

Johanne SOLHEIM from Norway has replaced Sanna KOLOMAINEN from Finland as NVF's representative in PIARC's central office. She sends reports every third month about her work there. The reports can be found here.International Baltic Road Conference in Riga 24 - 26 of August 2009.
NVF had a stand at the exhibition in during the 27th International Baltic Road Conference in Riga on on 24th to 26th of August 2009. There were 91 exhibitors and around 3000 visitors came.
Restructuring of road administrations: responding to future challenges
NordBalt seminar, in Liepaja, Latvia 18. og 19. september 2008
For the third time the Nordic and Baltic road directors met among others in the NordBalt seminar on “Restructuring of road administrations”. This time in Liepaja the third biggest town in Latvia. According to the presentations we can expect some changes in the road administrations in near future, especially in the Nordic countries. As Hreinn Haraldson, chairman of NVF (NRA) said in his closing remarks, the next seminar should be held in two or three years with the title: “Restructuring of road administrations, what happened?”

Hreinn Haraldsson is the new chairman of NVF (NRA)
Iceland took over the chairmanship of NRA on the first of July 2008. From that time Hreinn Haraldsson, director of roads in Iceland, is the chairman of NRA. This is the first time in the almost 75 years history of NRA that Iceland is the leading country.

Road wear from Heavy Vehicles - an overview
The report Road wear from Heavy Vehicles - an overview has been published by the TC Vehicles and Transport. The report is an overview on how different studies of road wear have reported the effect of various vehicle dependent parameters, for heavy vehicles, such as axle load, tyre properties etc.

Road Show focusing on Handicap Issues
A Road Show focusing on Handicap Issues visited Kaunas, Lithuania on April 9th. The seminar was a part of the NordBalt seminar programme, arranged by the Nordic Road Association's Theme Group B Handicap Issues in co-operation with the Baltic Road Association.
With its Nordic visiting speakers the seminar gathered 65 participants from road authorities, municipalities and consultancies from all the Baltic states, as well as from the local Transport and Road Research Institute.
