NordBalt seiminars in genereal
The regular cooperation between the Baltic Road Association (BRA) and the Nordic Road Association (NRA) started after the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Tampere, Finland on 10 June 1992. The memorandum of understanding was supplemented and resigned in Copenhagen on 29 November 2001.
From originally only containing meetings on the board and secretary level, the cooperation deepened into professional contacts on the technical committee level. From 1999 on the main focus has been on sharing experiences and spreading knowledge in common Baltic-Nordic seminars covering topical issues within the whole field of road management and transportation. The first seminar was held in Tallinn in September 1999 on Environmental issues. The seminars are now held on a ad hoc basis.
